Forgot your password, or never set one? If you signed up with an email and password, you can reset it in a few minutes. If you signed up with Apple, Google, or a verification code, you don't have a password yet—you can set one instead. Here's how to do both.
Need to get into your account right away? On the sign-in page, enter your email, select Continue, then select Use Verification Code. We'll email you a verification code, so you can sign in without your password.
How to reset your password
- Open the VPN Super sign-in page and enter your account email address.
- Select "Continue with Password".
- Select "Forgot password?" below the form.
- Enter your account email address again, then select "Submit".
- Check your inbox for an email from VPN Super. The reset link is valid for 24 hours.
- Open the email and follow the link to reset your password.
- Enter your new password, confirm it, and select "Reset password".
- Go back to the sign-in page and sign in with your new password.
If the email doesn't arrive within a few minutes, check your spam or junk folder—and the Promotions tab if you use Gmail.
How to set a password
If you signed up with Apple, Google, or a verification code, your account doesn't have a password yet. Here's how to add one:
- Sign in on our website with Apple or Google as usual, or enter your email, select Continue, then select Use Verification Code.
- Go to Account & billing → Password.
- Select Set Password.
- Check your inbox for an email from VPN Super, then open the link inside and choose your password.
Once that's done, you can sign in with your password, or with Apple, Google, or a verification code as before. If you signed up with a verification code, you'll need your password to sign in to the VPN Super apps.
Signed up with Apple and chose Hide My Email? The email goes to your @privaterelay.appleid.com address, and Apple forwards it to your inbox. If it doesn't arrive, check that email forwarding is turned on in your Apple ID settings.
How to create a strong password
Your new password needs:
- At least 8 characters (12 or more is better)
- A mix of uppercase and lowercase letters
- At least one number
- At least one special character, such as ! @ # $ % & *
We recommend using a passphrase—three or four unrelated words with a number and symbol mixed in. Avoid dictionary words on their own, personal details (your name, birthday, or phone number), simple sequences like 123456 or qwerty, and any password you've used recently.
You can also check your password here to see if it's been exposed in any known data breaches.
After you set or reset your password
- Sign in right away to confirm your new password works.
- Update it everywhere it's saved—your browser, your password manager, and the VPN Super app on each device. On mobile, sign out and back in with the new password.
- Take a quick look at your account to make sure everything looks right.
- Consider saving the new password in a password manager so you don't get locked out again.
Troubleshooting common issues
You might run into some issues when setting or resetting your password; these fixes might help:
- You didn't get the reset email. Give it up to 15 minutes, then check your spam and junk folders (and the Promotions tab on Gmail), and search your mail for "VPN Super" or "password reset." Make sure you're checking the inbox for the address you registered with—if you have more than one, it's the one that receives your billing emails. Still nothing? Request the link again, and contact Support if you still don't receive it.
- The reset link doesn't work. Links expire after 24 hours and can only be used once, so request a fresh one if yours has expired or you've already opened it. If a new link still won't open, copy and paste the full address into your browser, try a different browser or a private window, and turn off any extensions or pop-up blockers.
- Your new password won't save. If your password is rejected, make it longer and include a mix of uppercase, lowercase, numbers, and symbols. If the two entries don't match, retype both carefully and watch for an extra space at the start or end. If it's flagged as recently used, choose a password that's clearly different from your previous ones.
- You're not sure which email you used. Check your inbox for VPN Super billing emails to find the right one, and try any older addresses you may have signed up with. If your email has changed and you can't get in, contact Support—they can verify your account and help you update it.
- You didn't get the Set Password email. Check your spam and junk folders, and make sure you're checking the inbox for your account's email address. If you signed up with Apple and chose Hide My Email, the email goes to your @privaterelay.appleid.com address—check that email forwarding is turned on in your Apple ID settings.
Frequently asked questions
How long does a reset link last?
24 hours from when it's sent. After that, request a new one.
Can I reuse an old password?
It's best not to, and a recent password may be rejected for security.
Will resetting my password affect my subscription?
No. A reset doesn't change your subscription, billing, or VPN access.
How many times can I reset my password?
As often as you need, though frequent resets may trigger a security review.
Can I reset using my phone number?
Not right now—resets are by email only, so keep your account email accessible.
Do I need to update my apps afterward?
Yes. Sign out and back in on each device with your new password.
I signed up with Apple, Google, or a verification code. Can I reset my password?
Your account doesn't have a password yet, so there's nothing to reset. Set one instead by following the steps under "How to set a password" above.
Do I lose Apple or Google sign-in if I set a password?
No. Setting a password adds a second way to sign in. You can still sign in with Apple or Google whenever you like.
