Signing in with Apple or Google

support background

You can sign up for and sign in to your VPN Super account with Apple or Google instead of an email and password. Here's how it works, and what to do if signing in with Apple or Google doesn't work.

Which accounts can I sign in with?

Apple and Google. We don't support other social accounts, such as Facebook. You can also sign in with your email address on the sign-in page, just enter it and select Continue.

The Apple or Google button doesn't do anything

Your browser has probably blocked the sign-in pop-up. Try these steps:

  • Allow pop-ups for vpnsuper.com in your browser settings.
  • Turn off ad blockers or privacy extensions for our site.
  • Open the sign-in page in a private or incognito window, or try a different browser.
  • If VPN Super is connected, disconnect it while you sign in, then connect again.

I can't see the Apple or Google buttons

A browser extension is usually blocking them. Turn off ad blockers and tracking-protection extensions for vpnsuper.com, or open the sign-in page in a private window or a different browser.

It says authentication failed

The sign-in didn't finish. Try these steps:

  • Clear cookies for vpnsuper.com and for Apple or Google, then try again.
  • Disconnect VPN Super while you sign in, then connect again once you're signed in.
  • Turn off strict tracking protection or ad blockers for a moment, and try again.
  • Sign in to your Apple or Google account in another tab first, then come back to VPN Super.

Why does my account show an @privaterelay.appleid.com email?

If you signed up with Apple and chose Hide My Email, Apple created a private relay address that forwards to your real inbox. We use that address on your VPN Super account. Our emails, such as receipts and renewal reminders, still reach you through the relay. If you turn off email forwarding in your Apple ID settings, our emails will stop arriving.

Can I change the email on my account?

Yes. When you sign up with Apple or Google, we use the email on that account. To use a different address, go to Account & billing → Change email.

Can I add a password to my account?

Yes, and you can keep signing in with Apple or Google too. Sign in as usual, go to Account & billing → Password, and select Set Password. We'll email you a link to choose your password. For the full steps, see How to set or reset your VPN Super password.

I closed the permissions screen and my account wasn't created

We need your name and email from Apple or Google to create your account, so the sign-up stops if you close or decline that screen. Select the Apple or Google button again and allow access. If the screen doesn't appear, remove VPN Super's access in your Apple or Google account settings first, then try again.

What information does VPN Super get from Apple or Google?

Only your name, your email address, and a unique ID that lets us recognize you when you return. We don't see your contacts, posts, or browsing activity, and we never post on your behalf. For more details, see our Privacy Notice.

How do I disconnect Apple or Google from my account?

Go to Account & billing → Connected Accounts and select Disconnect next to Apple or Google. If that's your only way to sign in, set a password first so you don't lose access to your account.
