Viki won't load, shows an error, or keeps buffering while VPN Super is connected? This guide covers the most common causes, steps to try, and what to do if subtitles won't load.
Note: If your browser asks to share your location with viki.com, don't allow it. If you've already allowed it, you can remove that permission in your browser settings.
Subtitles load separately from the video, so they can fail on their own. Switch the subtitle language off and back on in the player, or pick a different language to check whether that track is available. If subtitles still don't appear, refresh your connection (step 4) and reopen the episode. Some titles aren't available in every region, so a missing show isn't always a connection problem.
If Viki loads but keeps buffering or drops to a lower quality, the cause is usually connection speed rather than the server.
Run a speed test at speedtest.net with VPN Super connected. Viki recommends a download speed of more than 10 Mbps. If your speed is below that:
If your speed is fine but buffering continues, work through steps 1 to 3 above.
Most of the steps above also apply on Apple TV and Android TV. For TV-specific troubleshooting, see How to fix common issues on Apple TV or How to fix common issues on Android TV.
