TVer won't load, shows an error, or keeps buffering while VPN Super is connected? This guide covers the most common causes, steps to try, and why an episode you saw earlier may be gone.
Why isn't TVer working with my VPN?
- The server you're on is busy during a high-traffic window, such as right after a popular episode airs
- TVer is detecting VPN traffic and limiting playback
- The TVer app is still using an old connection from before you connected
What can I try if TVer isn't working with my VPN?
- Update the VPN Super app to the latest version. Open the app and check for an update notification on the home screen. If you don't see one, update it on the App Store or Play Store, or download the latest version.
- Switch to a Premium server. Premium servers are built for streaming. If you don't have a Premium subscription yet, you can upgrade here. If an episode won't start on your current server, switch to a different one.
- Try the browser instead of the app. On a computer, open tver.jp in Chrome or Safari with VPN Super connected. On phones and tablets, TVer plays only in the app.
- Refresh your connection. Disconnect and reconnect VPN Super, then quit the TVer app and reopen it so it uses the new VPN session. In a browser, close and reopen the tab, or clear your browser cache.
Note: If your browser asks to share your location with tver.jp, don't allow it. If you've already allowed it, you can remove that permission in your browser settings.
Episode missing from TVer?
Most TVer episodes are only available for a limited time after they air, so an episode you saw listed earlier may have expired. That isn't a connection problem. Check the episode page for its viewing deadline, and search for the show by name to see which episodes are available now.
TVer buffering or low quality with VPN?
If TVer loads but keeps buffering or drops to a lower quality, the cause is usually connection speed rather than the server.
Run a speed test at speedtest.net with VPN Super connected. If your speed is low, try these:
- Switch to a server closer to you. A shorter distance usually means faster speeds. Compare servers using the ms latency value in the location list.
- Switch from mobile data to Wi-Fi. A stable Wi-Fi connection can give more reliable playback.
If your speed is fine but buffering continues, work through steps 1 to 3 above.
Watching TVer on a TV?
Most of the steps above also apply on Apple TV and Android TV. For TV-specific troubleshooting, see How to fix common issues on Apple TV or How to fix common issues on Android TV.
