Connecting to a VPN server assigns you a new IP address, and many websites and apps score incoming connections based on that IP's reputation, essentially, how trustworthy it looks based on its history. An IP that's been associated with bot activity or heavy shared VPN traffic can get blocked, rate-limited, or asked to complete extra verification (like a CAPTCHA), even though your VPN connection itself is working normally.
This isn't unique to VPN Super, any shared IP address can pick up a poor reputation over time, VPN or not. Switching to a different server gives you a different IP address, which often clears things up:
If the issue is limited to one specific site or app, it's worth checking whether that site is reachable without VPN Super connected, some sites have their own outages unrelated to your connection.

This is normal behavior and does not indicate an issue with your account or VPN Super. Streaming platforms actively look for VPN traffic because a VPN changes your IP address and location, so they may flag or block it even though your connection is working correctly.
On top of detecting VPN traffic generally, many streaming platforms also score incoming connections based on IP reputation, a shared IP address that's been associated with heavy VPN traffic or bot activity in the past is more likely to get flagged, even when your connection itself is working fine.
If a streaming service says you're using a VPN, or content won't play, try switching to a different VPN server. This gives you a different IP address, which may have a cleaner reputation and get treated normally.
VPN Super can't guarantee access to any specific streaming platform, since detection methods change frequently on their end. However, our team is constantly optimizing our servers for reliable access to popular streaming sites and services. If you run into any issues with streaming, let us know, and we'll look into it.

Using a VPN does use some extra battery, the app continuously encrypts and decrypts your data and maintains the secure connection, both of which require power. This is normal behavior and does not indicate an issue with your account or VPN Super; on modern devices, the impact is generally minimal.
To reduce battery usage:
Some sites cache your location and take a few minutes to catch up after you switch servers. If it doesn't update on its own:
