Getting a “connection service issue” warning in VPN Super? This error happens occasionally with beta software, but it’s easy to fix with a quick restart or app reinstall.

What this error means

You’ll see a warning message about a “connection service issue” when VPN Super can’t establish a connection to the servers. This is typically a temporary glitch that happens in rare cases with the Mac beta version.

Step 1: Restart your Mac

  1. Close VPN Super completely
  2. Restart your Mac
  3. Open VPN Super and try connecting

Most connection service errors are resolved after a simple restart.

Step 2: Reinstall the app

If restarting doesn’t solve the issue:

Remove VPN Super:

  1. Go to Applications
  2. Find the “VPN Super” folder and open it
  3. Open the VPN Super Uninstaller and follow the instructions

Install the latest version:

  1. Download the latest version: Apple Silicon or Intel
  2. Double-click the installer and follow the setup instructions
  3. Sign in to your account
  4. Try connecting again

Don’t worry—your account and subscription remain intact even when you reinstall the VPN Super app.
