If you're having issues streaming on Peacock with a VPN, these fixes should help.
Common reasons Peacock might not work with a VPN
- The server you're on is under load during a high-traffic window
- Peacock is detecting your VPN traffic and limiting playback
How to fix it
- Update the VPN Super app to the latest version. Open the app and check for an update notification on the home screen. If none appears, update it on the App Store or Play Store, or download the latest Windows version.
- Switch to a US Premium server. Premium servers are optimized for streaming. Switch to a US Premium server with a low ms value in the location list for the best Peacock performance.
- Try Peacock in a browser. If the Peacock app isn't loading, open Peacock.com in Chrome or Safari with VPN Super active.
- Refresh your connection. Disconnect and reconnect to VPN Super. Then quit the Peacock app and reopen it—this ensures it connects through the refreshed VPN session.
If you're streaming on your browser, close and reopen the tab, or clear your browser cache.
Note: If Peacock prompts you to share your location, don't allow it. If you've already granted access, you can remove it in your browser's settings for Peacock.com.
Experiencing slow or interrupted playback?
If Peacock loads but keeps buffering or dropping to a lower quality, the issue is likely connection speed rather than the VPN server itself.
Check your speed first. Run a speed test at speedtest.net with VPN Super connected. For smooth Peacock playback, you'll need at least 3Mbps for 720p, 6Mbps for 1080p, and 25Mbps for 4K streaming.
If your speed is below these thresholds, try:
- Switching to a server closer to your physical location. A shorter distance generally means lower latency and faster speeds. Use the ms latency value in the location list to compare servers.
- Switch from cellular to Wi-Fi. Mobile connections can be inconsistent, so a stable Wi-Fi connection will give you more reliable playback.
If your speed looks fine but buffering continues, work through steps 1 to 3 in the section above.
