How to find the best VPN Super server

Not sure which server to connect to? Here's how to pick the right one for speed, streaming, and reliability.

Let VPN Super choose for you

The easiest option is to use the Fastest Location feature in the VPN Super app. It's enabled by default on the home screen, but you can also find it highlighted at the top of your server list. Fastest Location automatically connects you to the lowest-latency server available to you, so for most users, it's all you need.

To use it, see if the Location button on the home screen already says "Fastest", then click "Connect". If not, hit the Location button, then select the server location highlighted at the top of your server list.

Choosing a server manually

If you need a specific country, browse the server list and use the latency value (measured in milliseconds (ms) on the app) to choose the best server for your needs.

Generally, the fastest VPN location is the one with the lowest latency. The lower the ms, the quicker your connection responds, and vice versa. If you're using a VPN to stream with fewer interruptions, connecting to the server with the lowest latency is typically best for speed.

If you're trying to reach content from a specific country, connect to a server in that region—the right location matters more than speed here. If there are multiple servers in that country, the one with the lower ms value will generally perform better.

Other things to try

  • Switch servers within the same location. If one server feels slow, try another in the same country.
  • Switch protocols. Some protocols perform better on certain networks. Switch to a different protocol on the home screen and test again.
  • Check your internet connection. Some speed reduction is normal with any VPN because of encryption and routing. If performance seems unusually slow, test your connection without the VPN first to rule out a local issue.
