Get a Danish IP address, stream DR TV, TV 2 Play, and Viaplay abroad, and browse privately on TDC Net, YouSee, Stofa, and 3.
Danish streaming, banking, and government services geo-restrict the moment you leave the country. DR TV blocks all live content outside Denmark. TV 2 Play, Viaplay, and YouSee Play lock out non-Danish IPs (with limited EU portability for up to 30 days under the EU Portability Regulation). A Denmark VPN encrypts your connection and adds privacy that Danish law doesn't fully deliver on its own.
DR TV, TV 2 Play, Viaplay, and YouSee Play all check your IP before letting you in. A Denmark VPN makes it look like you're browsing from inside the country.
Banking, shopping, and government portals work better when websites see a Danish IP. No more "Ikke tilgængelig i dit land" errors.
Your connection is encrypted the moment you connect to public Wi-Fi at a hotel, café, or airport in Copenhagen.
Danish ISPs like TDC Net, YouSee, Stofa, and 3 retain subscriber identity and traffic data under the 2022 retention law. A VPN encrypts your traffic so your ISP sees a connection to a VPN server, not the sites you visit.
DR TV, TV 2 Play, Viaplay, and YouSee Play all geo-restrict to Danish IPs. EU portability rules let you access TV 2 Play and Viaplay from other EU countries for up to 30 days, but DR is blocked almost entirely abroad. Connect to a Denmark VPN server and the full catalog comes back.
Viaplay holds UEFA Champions League, Europa League, and Conference League rights in Denmark. Outside Denmark, every stream is blocked. Connect to a Danish server and the match loads.
Copenhagen Airport, Nørreport and Aarhus H stations, cafés in Vesterbro, hotel lobbies in Aalborg. A VPN encrypts your traffic so nobody on the same network can see what you're doing.
Preservation orders for traffic and location data can be issued by police without prior court approval. The Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet) announced in January 2026 that it will intensify focus on monitoring technologies and AI-based surveillance. A VPN encrypts your connection regardless.
Netflix libraries vary by country, and some platforms are unavailable in Denmark entirely. Connect to a VPN Super server in the US, UK, or another country to access broader catalogs.
Traditional Danish communities abroad sit in Sweden, Germany, the UK, the US, and Norway. A Denmark VPN keeps your DR TV, TV 2 Play, banking, and borger.dk access working wherever you are.
Whether you need DR TV from Berlin or TV 2 Play from New York, getting started takes under a minute.
Get the App on iOS, Android, Windows, or macOS.

Connect to VPN Super's Denmark server and those platforms see a Danish IP instead.

Danish streaming platforms check for VPN connections. VPN Super refreshes Danish server IPs regularly so you stay connected when other providers get flagged.

VPN Super encrypts your connection with AES-256, the same standard used by banks and governments. Your real IP is hidden, your data is encrypted, and your browsing stays between you and your screen.
Stream DR TV, TV 2 Play, Viaplay, and YouSee Play from any country. Connect to the Copenhagen server and your shows come with you.
Viaplay carries Champions League, Europa League, Conference League, and Premier League. Outside Denmark, all are blocked. Connect to a Danish server and watch live.
Hide your IP and encrypt your traffic. Denmark's 2022 data retention law still allows general retention of subscriber identity data and permits police preservation orders without court approval. A VPN reduces what any intermediary can see.
Copenhagen Airport, Nørreport and Aarhus H stations, cafés in Vesterbro, hotel lobbies in Aalborg. Connect to VPN Super before joining any public network.
Danske Bank, Nordea, Jyske Bank, Sydbank, MitID, SKAT, borger.dk, and e-Boks can flag non-Danish IPs. One tap brings them back.
Some streaming libraries are smaller in Denmark. Connect to a VPN Super server in another country to browse without restrictions.
VPN Super works across all major platforms. Download the App, connect to a Danish server, and you're protected.
VPN Super is one of the most downloaded VPN apps in the world, with over 100 million installs across iOS and Android. That’s not a marketing number. That’s people choosing to connect, day after day.
The connection is fast, stable, and secure, and I never have trouble streaming or browsing. It's super easy to use, with quick server connections and a simple interface. I really appreciate that it keeps my privacy protected without costing anything. Definitely one of the best VPNs I've ever tried — highly recommend!
Initially skeptical after using other apps like Orbot, Tor browser, Surfshark and others. This VPN is seemingly very stable with servers available for other countries and fast continual connectivity.
I've found this VPN to be really reliable and easy to use. The connection speed is fast, even when streaming or browsing on different servers, and switching locations only takes a few seconds. I also like the extra privacy and security it gives me when using public Wi-Fi. The app is simple to set up, and it runs smoothly in the background without slowing my device down. Overall, it's a great option if you want both protection and convenience online.
Ready to get a VPN for Denmark? Here's what to look for.
DR TV and TV 2 Play geo-check against known VPN IPs. Many providers either lack Danish servers or get flagged within days. VPN Super runs servers in Copenhagen and refreshes IPs regularly so Danish platforms see a clean Danish IP address.
VPN Super offers a Free VPN with no strings attached, plus Premium Subscriptions in 1-month, 6-month, and 12-month tiers. No hidden charges, no auto-renewal traps.
Datatilsynet announced in January 2026 that it will intensify supervision of monitoring technologies. A VPN covers what remains: ISP metadata processing, public Wi-Fi risks, and cross-border tracking. VPN Super delivers a no-activity-logs policy, AES-256 encryption, and trusted protocols (OpenVPN, IKEv2, WireGuard).
Yes. VPN use is fully legal in Denmark. There are no laws restricting individuals from using VPN services (no Denmark VPN ban). Denmark operates under EU law (GDPR), national privacy legislation (the Danish Data Protection Act), and the Danish Constitution (Section 72, which protects the inviolability of dwelling and privacy of correspondence). As with any jurisdiction, activities illegal without a VPN remain illegal with one.
Denmark's data retention story has been reshaped twice in the last decade.
Before 2014, Denmark operated "session logging," a unique national extension that recorded source and destination IP addresses, ports, and session types for every TCP connection or every 500th packet. It was repealed in 2014 after Danish police admitted they couldn't use the massive amount of data collected.
In 2022, Denmark revised its data retention law in response to the CJEU's La Quadrature du Net judgment. The new framework retained general and indiscriminate retention of civil identity data (subscriber name, address, and the source IP address assigned to them). Retention of traffic and location data moved to a targeted model for serious crime or national security. Police can still issue preservation orders directly to ISPs without prior court approval.
In January 2026, Datatilsynet announced it will intensify supervision of data controllers using new monitoring and AI-based technologies during 2026.
A VPN encrypts your connection, so your ISP sees traffic to a VPN server rather than the specific websites you visit.
DR TV (dr.dk/drtv) geo-blocks nearly all live and on-demand content to Danish IP addresses. Unlike TV 2 Play and Viaplay, DR is not covered by the EU Portability Regulation because it's a public broadcaster without a paid subscription.
Open VPN Super, connect to the Copenhagen server, then visit dr.dk/drtv or open the DR TV app. If content still shows as restricted ("Ikke tilgængelig i dit land"), clear your browser cache and cookies.
TV 2 Play (play.tv2.dk) and Viaplay (viaplay.dk) share Danish Superliga rights through the 2029-30 season. Viaplay also carries Champions League, Europa League, Conference League, and Premier League rights in Denmark.
Under the EU Portability Regulation, you can access both platforms from other EU countries for up to 30 days. Outside the EU, or for longer stays, you need a Danish IP. Open VPN Super, connect to the Copenhagen server, then open TV 2 Play or Viaplay. You need an active subscription.
Yes. VPN Super works across all Danish ISPs and mobile carriers, including TDC Net, YouSee, Stofa, 3, Telia, and Telenor. The VPN encrypts your traffic regardless of which provider you use. There are no ISP-level VPN blocks in Denmark.
Most free VPNs either lack Danish servers or have server pools so small that streaming platforms block them quickly. Some monetize by logging and reselling browsing data. VPN Super's Free VPN includes Denmark server access, AES-256 encryption, and unlimited bandwidth with no credit card required.
We're confident you'll love the speed, security, and freedom VPN Super gives you. But if you're not completely satisfied, no worries—just reach out within 30 days and we'll give you a full refund. No hassle. No questions asked. Total peace of mind.
