Release notes

Version 1.0.21

Latest release

  • Screens now slide as you move between them, the sidebar slides over the screen it covers, and dialogs scale into view. The app also draws its own title bar, which you can drag from anywhere along it.
  • Buttons, back arrows, server rows and social icons now light up when you hover over them, and the menu button stays in the same place on every screen.
  • Fixed the installer reporting a successful install after you cancelled it, or after it stopped because your Mac didn’t meet the requirements. It now ends on a page telling you the app was not installed, and removes anything it had added.
  • Fixed the uninstaller’s password prompt warning that Apple could not verify the app, on macOS 26 and later.
  • Fixed several display issues—scrollbars now sit outside the list they scroll, the Help & Support screen fits without scrolling, and Launch at login shows its real setting as soon as Settings opens.

Version 1.0.20

  • VPN Super now installs directly into your Applications folder, instead of a folder of its own.
  • Countries with a single city now show the country name, and search finds them by either name.
  • The first speed check now follows our recommended locations for your country.
  • Fixed high CPU use while the app was retrying a connection.
  • Screen changes now fade instead of cutting, and the About screen shows a short version number you can quote to Support.

Version 1.0.19

  • Connecting to a location now lands on that location’s newest servers.
  • A failed update now tells you what happened and offers a direct download, instead of closing the app silently.
  • Support requests now report your real country.

Version 1.0.18

  • Added an Uninstall VPN Super entry to the menu bar, so there’s no separate app to go looking for.
  • The uninstaller is now signed by VPN Super, closes cleanly without asking for your password, carries the app icon, and has one step fewer.
  • Fixed the connected-device list showing a machine ID instead of your device name.
  • Fixed server flags and server list alignment.

Version 1.0.17

  • Added WireGuard port fallback, so connections succeed on networks that block a particular port.
  • A stalled connection is now detected and reconnected within about 15 seconds, instead of continuing to send traffic that never arrives.
  • Connecting while offline now waits and completes on its own once your connection returns, instead of failing.
  • The app is quieter while connected—it no longer re-requests the server list every few minutes.
